Orphan Complex Centre

Project description

The compound (Ears of Goodness complex) will comprise of a secondary school with rooms for internal housing for the orphan students who have achieved academic excellence displaying a promising future in further education. The complex will include a kitchen, dining hall, a mosque, a centre for teaching the Quran, a health centre, a computer room and physical activity space as well as toilets and sanitation facilities for students.

The importance of the project

Islamic Welfare Organisation is currently providing support for more than 3000 orphans; this being accomplished by a strong partnership with various other organisations, like Ethar Relief, whom sponsors nearly over 200 orphans. Their well-being is assured by supervisor’s field visits to their schools and homes.

The charity also provides them with educational and academic care in order to develop their talents and personalities. It also establishes recreational programs and educational centres to their benefit in collaboration with other charities.

Emphasising the importance of developing a positive member of society, we recognise the need for comprehensive care of the orphans through distinguished learning environments conducive to better understanding of information.

The key to achieving this is to have a secondary school for exceptional orphan students that would supply them with special care in educational, academic and health issues in order to provide them with opportunities to secure a better future. And herein lies the importance of this project.

Location

Kasala city has been chosen as a place for the compound due to its location being near to different areas with high number of orphans, also due to its presence of water services, electricity and other services.

Beneficiaries of the project
